Wherstead Village Hall needs your Photos and Paintings!
If you take pictures on your mobile or create masterpieces with paint, we would like you to join in the Wherstead Art exhibition which will take place on the 13th and 14th of July in The Room.
As well as the free weekend exhibition, the idea is to find pictures created by Wherstead people which can be put on long term display in The Room in Wherstead, to brighten the walls and personalise the space.
It is really simple to join in (and free):
- Photos can be submitted electronically and we will print them on A4 and mount them (You are encouraged to help display your pictures). Alternatively, we are happy to accept images you have printed.
- Paintings / drawings can be displayed, ideally these should be no larger than 600mm by 600mm and already be mounted, but we will help if we can – just get in touch to discuss what you need.
- Each artist can provide up to 5 pieces for display and at least one of these images should be connected to Wherstead.
- Application for an exhibition place should be made by Friday the 29th June, with all artwork submitted by Friday the 5th July (These are revised dates from the ones in the Parish Magazine).
- If you own a piece of artwork that you think you would like displayed and will be of interest to the residents of Wherstead, please get in touch and we will see what is possible.
How to submit artwork:
- Drop an Email to Robin Coates at Robin@RPMConsultancyuk.co.uk or give him a call on 07840 610 856, or speak to any of the Parish Councillors.
- We will then provide you with a very simple entry form (we want to ensure we give credit to the correct people and be sure we can return your pictures).
The only thing we ask is that you allow us to keep a photographic copy of any submission for display in The Room after the exhibition.
Entrance to the exhibition is free and there will be refreshments available on both days.
We look forward to seeing you and your pictures on the 13th and 14th July.
